Young talents in science

The University of Paderborn awards the Pupils Award for outstanding achievements in the natural sciences to approximately 300 students in the 8th and 9th grades of high schools and comprehensive schools. Each student receives a certificate and a prize of 75 euros for their exceptional achievements.

With this award, the University of Paderborn is investing in the future. Pupils have the opportunity to discover their talents at an early age and urther develop them during their studies. It is important to spark interest and curiosity in these fields while students are still at school.

Besides the CLAAS Foundation, the long-standing supporters of the prize include VerbundVolksbank OWL, the Paderborn-based company dSPACE, and the group of sponsors from the Höxter district, comprising the companies HEGLA GmbH & Co KG (Beverungen), Mahrenholz GmbH (Beverungen) and Vauth-Sagel GmbH (Brakel).

The CLAAS Foundation invites the award-winning students to the Day of Agricultural Engineering in Harsewinkel. There, they will experience how scientific and technical knowledge is put into practice in agricultural technology.

What does CLAAS actually do?

This was the main question of the gifted students coming from the region around Paderborn during their visit. They are all winners of the „Pupils Award“ and were invited to the so-called „Day of Ag Engineering“ at the CLAAS premises in Harsewinkel.
